劉沖,西北大學教授、博導,西北大學理論物理團隊核心成員,從事非線性可積系統研究,主要關注精確解及其新奇非線性局域激發動力學,與合作者在PRL、CPL、PR系列等發表論文40余篇,先后主持國家自然科學基金項目三項,獲得國家青年B類自然科學基金項目。
報告摘要:
We present our recent advance on breathers induced by nonlinear coupling (i.e., vector or multicomponent breathers). As an example, we demonstrate that vector (two-component) breathers of the Manakov equations can be excited through a simple initial modulation imposed only on a single component. We investigate two types of breathers—vector rogue waves and super-regular breathers—that can be triggered by nonideal localized perturbations. Both fundamental and complex higher-order breathers can be generated using such initial modulations. The characteristic time of evolution corresponding to the maximum broadening of the spectra is analyzed in detail. It is shown that only the excitation of higher-order breathers allows for a difference in characteristic times between the two components. The variation of this time difference with respect to the parameters of the initial conditions is systematically analyzed.
