報告人簡介：
Vadim Kaloshin, 奧地利科學與技術研究所講席教授，于2001年從普林斯頓大學獲得博士學位后，獲得美國數學研究所的為期五年的研究員職位，2020年當選為歐洲科學院院士，2023年當選為歐洲科學與藝術學院院士。以其對動力系統的貢獻而聞名，在《Annals of Mathematics》、《Acta Mathematica》、《Inventiones Mathematicae》國際數學四大期刊上發表論文9篇。2004年獲得斯隆獎，2016年獲得西蒙斯獎，2001年獲得莫斯科數學學會獎，2019年獲得巴塞羅那動力系統獎，2024年獲得科學前沿獎。曾是2006年馬德里國際數學家大會邀請報告人，2015年智利圣地亞哥國際數學物理大會邀請報告人，以及2019年克拉科夫動力系統、方程與應用會議邀請報告人。
報告摘要：
Over 100 years ago G.D. Birkhoff introduced planar billiards inside a convex domain with elastic reflection as an important model. The classical Birkhoff Conjecture states that an integrable billiard is an ellipse. During the talk we shall discuss recent progress on this conjecture.
